The situation:
As far as I understand for MongoDB a regular expression is not a String. MongoDB takes strings literally, so it won't look at them for RegExp.
So Python doesn't know what type of variable I'm trying to search for because it would then be /data/ , that's not valid for Python. Being '/dato/' (take into account the quotes) it would be correct, but it is not for MongoDB
The query fails, finds nothing.
What solution or alternative is there for this problem?
(And of course, I know that in MongoDB there is no OR as such, nor LIKE, I'm looking for an equivalence that can lead me to do the same thing.)

It sounds great to "make life more complicated" sometimes or maybe all the fucking time, because I usually find problems with everything.
The solution with indexOf is faster in execution than RegExp , although in terms of code handling it is a bit complex. I do not understand the use of some -1 (I do not understand much). It sounds crazy, but it really works even with the use of hyphens inside.

My question is the following
SELECT nombre_per, apellido_per, permisos_busqueda_per
FROM la_tabla
WHERE nombre_per LIKE '%a%' OR apellido_per LIKE '%a%' AND permisos_busqueda_per="SI"
If I'm looking only for users who have the findable permission enabled permisos_busqueda_per, why does it return both rows if Janny doesn't have the findable permission enabled?

It redirects to index.php and so on with the rest of the pages. But it is if there is something after the ".php" not just a "?variable=value"
