I have the latest version of wordpress and contact form 7 and the php version of the server that is installed is 5.5 (the latest stable version as far as I know). It is a test server. The problem is that I fill out the entire form and wait and wait and wait but I never get the e-mail confirming that it works. I have searched the internet for solutions but I have not found any (I saw this page that required the Easy WP SMTP plugging but I have not been able to make it work, in Testing And Debugging Settingsit I get an error that tells me the following: SMTP connect() failed.I have gone to that page but I cannot understand what it says).
Do any of you know how to make Contact Form 7 work? I don't care if it's with that plugging or in another way... I've seen that it's a common error but what I've tried I haven't been able to get it to work.
The SMTP problem is due to the security settings of google accounts , to fix this error go to myaccount.google.com/security , once there go to Applications and connected sites and activate the access of less secure applications .
In the email tab of the contact form I see that you have it empty, you should have something like this:
Where it says
[your-message]based on the previous images you should place[consulta]since that is what your field is called in contact form.
