Questions[licencias]

All types of code can be uploaded to online repositories where other developers can access it, this makes it necessary to apply licenses to make explicit the freedoms of said code.

Even a single Script can be uploaded to Github, and it can have a license file. Strictly speaking the licenses apply to Software as such, so can a single script, of whatever nature, be valid as software?

Wikipedia defines software as any piece of code that gives instructions to a computer. Counting as code and as a computer to the most primitive or low level. Under this definition it is completely valid. What is your opinion about it?

I'm making a program in go and I'd like to upload it to Github under the GPL license, but I'm using someone else's package which is licensed under MIT. I can do this?

I want a software that I'm starting to be open ? and I've seen that the GPL could work for me. I know that the GPL licenses force the programmer to distribute the source code and also that works on that code must have equal or less restrictive licenses, also that this is free and derivative works too.

Currently I understand that there is version 3 of the license, but there are issues that I still do not understand about this license, such as its relationship with software patents (and the whole problem of Europe vs. USA) and what is the difference with GPLv2 .

So I have this doubt. If GPLv3 is based on GPLv2 and is compatible, what is the difference? If you can explain the full license it would be excellent ?

How is software licensed to MIT? I am in the process of licensing my software and I don't know how or what to do to do it. I have seen how software can be licensed under the GPL.

In the company I work for, if a member of the development team proposes to use an Open Source library to solve a problem , the project producers always ask what software license comes with the library.

We are not lawyers, but I understand that not all the different licenses can be combined because there are certain requirements that each one requires.

That said, I want to know, what would be the considerations to take into account before including an Open Source library in a software that I created on my own ?
