I want to prevent Google Analytics from recording the activity that I have on my own website to avoid contaminating the data it collects, for this I would like to put a filter that excludes the IP address of my router so that all my devices are excluded even though I know it is not the best option because it would not register the data of others who share my same IP on the internet, but the system that uses cookies is not feasible in my case. Other options that do not include cookies are welcome.

I have noticed that there is a filter that Google Analytics gives us by default with this objective but I don't know how to configure it, it is the one shown in the following image:

It seems unintuitive to me, after testing and reading the documentation I have not been able to find a way to make it work. It keeps recording the activity of my devices.

I am a bit confused on the subject of an API and I would like to know if the concept is what I think.

Step 1: User uses the client part for the search

Step 2: The information is received to a function that makes a request to the server.

Step 3: The server sends you the found data.

Step 4: The function returns to the client what was successfully or unsuccessfully found.

That is, step 2 where I have the SQL queries in this case (that is, the communication with the server), would it be an api?

What are the technical definitions that distinguish an API from a library or a Framework ?

Are there situations in which it is permissible to interchange these terms without violating the correct technical definition?
