I have implemented a YouTube video on a page and I get Chrome 56
this warning:
[Violation] Long running JavaScript task took xx ms (50ms allowed) www-embed-player.js
Need to worry?
I FireFox
don't get any warning. A Chrome bug perhaps?

It is a bug of all browsers that only Chrome detects, for now
It seems to be a bug, reported on Chromium.org .
I've read that it's not just a bug in Chrome, but in all browsers, but the only one that detects it for now is Chrome:
In regards to your question:
According to English SO :
These messages are warnings rather than errors because they aren't really going to cause much trouble. It can cause dropped frames... and other issues, but not security related.
As for security, there is no need to worry , as it is a warning that something is not optimized on our page. Then we do have to worry about optimizing our content (see some links at the end).
Possible solutions
In gonodejs they give several possible solutions to the problem (in English). Although I personally consider that it is not worth trying them, since the message issue is resolved in Chrome 57...
It's already solved, the message thing
Chrome 58 , still in beta, hides these and other debugging messages by default. To display them, click on the arrow next to 'Info' and select 'Verbose'.
Chrome 57 , now available, turns on "hide violations" by default. To turn them back on, you need to turn filters on and uncheck the "Hide Violations" box.
But... there is a pending task
The pending task is OPTIMIZE .
Even if you no longer see the annoying message appear, it is possible that there is an optimization problem in our application.
What to do then? Definitely update to the latest version of Chrome and from time to time activate the mode
Verbose
to see if there is something that needs to be optimized.Regarding optimization, you can find interesting content in Chrome Dev Tools, also in Spanish. Here are just a few links that I have found:
The above quoted Stackoverflow answer also provides some optimization suggestions.
