All types of code can be uploaded to online repositories where other developers can access it, this makes it necessary to apply licenses to make explicit the freedoms of said code.
Even a single Script can be uploaded to Github, and it can have a license file. Strictly speaking the licenses apply to Software as such, so can a single script, of whatever nature, be valid as software?
Wikipedia defines software as any piece of code that gives instructions to a computer. Counting as code and as a computer to the most primitive or low level. Under this definition it is completely valid. What is your opinion about it?
