I have a table with multiple columns, for example ID
, Nombre
, Edad
and Pais
. Of these, I have marked the column Edad
as unused
with the following statement:
alter table Persona set unused column AGE;
Now, I want to use the column Edad
again, how can I do it in Oracle (10g)?
Also, which is better, delete a column , or set it to unused ?
A column marked unused cannot be reused . The only possible action on this column is to remove it from the table.
What can be done is to add a new column with the same name, even without removing the previous one.
