Arduino Serial Monitor responds Special characters with Bluetooth AT commands HC-05

I am getting special characters when sending any command. The command I sent in the image was "AT" and it threw me those weird characters. I have tried several things, one was to change the baud rate, try to use the same with an arduino MEGA and UNO and different cables, but special characters always come out.

    Check the baud rate of the serial you use for BT. It is usually 9600, the same as the Hardware Serial. I see you are using 38400. Did you set your HC-05 to that speed?
