I try to make a connection between 2 parrot linux virtual machines. I changed the settings in sshd_config
to have root access and it still doesn't accept the password.
PermitRootLogin yes
PubkeyAuthentication yes
I have also changed the root password and still have the same problem.
The parameters that you need to change to be able to connect as the root user using password authentication are:
You must put both values with the value
yes
.You can edit the file
/etc/ssh/sshd_config
, in those fields, with a text editor, or you can run the following commands (if they apply to your case). After editing that file, restart the ssh server with
sudo service ssh restart
It should be noted that this is generally risky because security only depends on the size and quality of the root password and there would be no reason to climb access levels since it
root
has all of them.
