I have an HTML document of an exercise that I am doing with this content
<!--
11 aciertos = 10€
* -->
<!DOCTYPE html>
<html lang = "es">
<head>
<title>Practica 6.2 - Quinieleitor</title>
<script src = "quinieleitor.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
</head>
<body>
</body>
</html>
And finally, a js file that provides the final content of the page. When opening the HTML document in the browser, something like this appears...
Do you want to enter the pool manually?
But if I delete line 2, or lines 1, 2 and 3 (the comment), then what appears when loading the HTML document is this...
Do you want to enter the pool manually?
And the same happens in the rest of the document for each word that contains a tilde a "strange" character such as "€".
I don't see any sense in it... does anyone know why this could happen?
Greetings.
It is the encoding of your HTML document, you must add the following tag
<meta charset="UTF-8">
