Hi how are things? I have 10 tl-wr841nd routers, and I want them to use WDS technology to connect with each other, and provide a wide Wi-Fi network, without cables
WDS technology is to share the same Wi-Fi, through several routers, Here is a brief explanation of how to configure it https://www.tp-link.com/en/support/faq/227/
Anyway, my idea would be to put the following WAN configuration on the router: automatically detect the LAN IP: 192.168.1.1 / 255.255.255.0 DHCP server: 192.168.1.1 A 192.168.1.200 WIFI: Fiestadejuegos Password: let's play security: WPK2/Personal Encryption : AES Channel: 2
In the client routers "repeaters" a LAN IP above 200, that is, 192.168.1.201, 192.168.1.202 and so on: I activate WDS in the repeaters and place them in a chain, one behind the other forming a line, with the same WIFI configuration, and all pointing to the BSSID: of the master router and DHCP disabled
between the routers I can navigate as if they were on the network, when entering their ips through the browser, but when going to the second concatenated router, it tells me "Error obtaining ip" and does not provide ip. I have tried to change the BSSID and put it to the one in front of each router, and it is the same problem. From the second concatenated router it does not deliver DHCP ip! Could someone help me with networking experience? I hope answer thank you very much
The problem I had is that the FIREWALL interfered with the DHCP service, simply by disabling the firewalls I could do everything, with a correct configuration, the firewalls were the ones that prevented the dhcp server from communicating with each other, I hope it helps someone!
