How to make page "not found" in node js express?

I am working with node.jsand express. Now what I am looking for is to make "not found 404" page for my website;

this is my "app.js":

app.get('/', routes.index);
app.get('/users', user.list);
app.get('/notfound', routes.index);

http.createServer(app).listen(app.get('port'), function() {
    console.log('Express server listening on port ' + app.get('port'));
});

I was trying with app.get('/notfound', routes.index);but it gives me an error ofCannot GET /notfound

Also try: app.get('/*', routes.index);but it gives me an error of Cannot GET /*.

    The idea is to redirect when a response is returned 404, something like this:

    app.use(app.router);

// $ curl http://localhost:3000/notfound
// $ curl http://localhost:3000/notfound -H "Accept: application/json"
// $ curl http://localhost:3000/notfound -H "Accept: text/plain"

app.use(function(req, res, next){
  res.status(404);

  // Respuesta html
  if (req.accepts('html')) {
    res.render('404', { url: req.url });
    return;
  }

  // Respuesta json
  if (req.accepts('json')) {
    res.send({ error: 'Not found' });
    return;
  }

  // Texto plano
  res.type('txt').send('Not found');
});

  2. You can render your own .html file in one line like this ;)

    app.use(function(req, res, next) {
        res.status(404).render('404.html');
});
