So far I've only used font-awesome on web pages, but now I need to use those icons as Windows fonts for use in PowerPoint. I have seen that TrueType/OpenType fonts can be downloaded on the font-awesome website, but when I install them in Windows, what appears to me is a normal font, not the icons.
Let's see if someone can give me the solution. All the best.
There are two forms with the font installed.
From the web http://fontawesome.io/cheatsheet/ copy and paste the symbols, not the codes but the symbols directly.
Another option is to go to the insert menu of powerpoint and in the symbols group click on symbol and then select the fontawesome font and the symbols should appear to be able to select the one you want.

paste the codes from there having font-awesome selected in powerpoint, it should work
