Genexus Licensing Mechanism

I currently have the Genexus for ISV plan that includes a license for the IDE and the .NET, Java, Ruby and SD generators. I started this plan when Genexus Evolution 3 was the most recent version.

With the advent of Genexus 15 (currently in RC version) as the most recent version, I would like to know if installing the licenses for GX 15 will stop the Genexus Evolution 3 IDE (and generators) from working or if both will work in parallel.

    Yes, you can indeed install the GeneXus 15 licenses and you will be able to work in parallel with both the Evolution 3 and 15 versions.

  2. I recommend you to install protection server, and you can have separate licenses, and thus keep your versions or have a license server, which uses them according to version
