Good to all and to all.
I am making a website for a driving school, in which I am going to include an image slider on the home page.
For this, I have used the slider that is in w3 (with its styles etc).
My idea is that the images are 100% wide , but that the height is, for example, a maximum of 600px or 700px. I also want the images not to lose display quality. (Let's say they are images that automatically adapt)
Capture of an example:
I currently have the height set to auto:
This is what happens if I force the images to be 500px tall:
I attach the link to the project (sorry for the inconvenience but I have several files). So you can see everything.

Thanks for the help.
I, for example, in the Slider so that they adapt without problems and with the rest of the images I use this css style .
You can use it according to where you prefer convenient.
Example
for example this other option:
Update
The first, our friend Shaz commented on it in a comment to edit the image with the maximum dimensions to display.
The second option is to position the image by hiding certain parts of the image with css styles :
Example:
Manipulate the positions that look best by changing the values(75%) of
background-position: 0% 75%;
