What is P&V8 used for?

I came across this curious package on the Sublime list and I have no idea what it's for, and if I can remove it without blowing anything up.

    Said package is part of the Sublime Text configuration since the language with which it is made is Python and if you look at the extension of said file it is .py ; uninstalling it will cause the plugin installation to fail.

    Based on the use I have had of Sublime Text for years, I tell you the following:

    • Does not affect having it installed
    • You will generate failures in the installation of third-party plugins
