I have been asked to make my Android Studio app launchable from a web page or web server so that it can run on any mobile device without the need to install the apk. Is that possible? All the tutorials I've looked at talk about converting webpages to Android apps or uploading the app's apk and then installing it on a mobile device, but nothing about getting my own app to launch on a device with just put the link to a web server or a web page.
Can something like this be done?
I think what you are looking for are the Instants Apps. They are quite recent and run android applications from urls without the need to install them.
More info: https://developer.android.com/topic/instant-apps/
check here https://www.altavoz.net/altavoz/blog/desarrollo/que-son-las-instant-apps-and-how-they-work that comes around, the idea, they have also asked me the same thing that either we implement it or we look for the answer that must already exist In my case, it would be like from my website I raise an app that exists (quite similar) but I do not have much information about that application (neither function nor objective, nor anything)
