hello I just added space to a virtual OS in virtualbox from 5.6G to 11GB, virtualbox recognizes it, but inside, with fdisk I get that to the partition that sda4 to which he had added 5 gb, in df it is not reflected,
DF:/dev/sda4 5.6GB
fdisk -l :/dev/sda4 10.6GB
Any solution? Because apparently the space has not been added to the partition because when trying to install something I get that the disk is full.
Have you tried doing a resize2fs?
How did you do the expansion? I had to extend the virtual hard drive of a VM recently, and I had to do it from the console with
But after I had to go into guest OS it showed up as unpartitioned space, and I had to add it to the partition with gparted.

This will depend on how you have done disk management in the virtualized system. If you used enter the link description here to partition the drive, you could look at the documentation on how to do it (I can't remember the command). Basically what you do with this partition management system is to add data volumes, regardless of where they are to the FS.
